# Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (CNAM)

On 2 October 2026, a seller offered for sale on a cybercriminal forum a database attributed to the CNAM, with 882,918 rows and about 289 MB of data. The seller labels one field as a student identifier and claims 773,306 unique values, so the row count does not equal the number of distinct people. The sample reviewed by FrenchBreaches contains surname, first name and usage name, date, département and municipality of birth, an internal identifier, a possible external identifier, the attached entity, the record status and its creation date. This database is separate from another claim by the same seller concerning about 16,000 CNAM teachers and external lecturers.

A full identity combined with a date and place of birth can be used for identity-theft attempts or targeted phishing messages posing as the institution.
