Data breach — High

Ouverture Fine, a French company selling opening and security equipment and offering training, is the subject of a data breach claim announced on 5 October 2026. A seller is offering on a cybercriminal forum a database of 60,000 rows said to come from the ouverture-fine.com website. The published samples show names, email addresses, dates of birth, postal addresses, landline and mobile phone numbers, company names, SIRET numbers, APE codes, customer identifiers and hashed passwords. The volume is a claim: 60,000 rows do not necessarily correspond to 60,000 people, since one customer may appear in several tables.

The combination of identities, contact details and professional information can be used for targeted phishing campaigns or cross-referenced with other leaked datasets.

## Exposed data

- Full name
- Email address
- Date of birth
- Postal address
- Phone number
- Employment data
- Customer ID
- Password (hashed)

## What you can do

- Change that password — and everywhere you reused it. That is how a leak spreads to your other accounts.
- Turn on two-factor authentication on the affected accounts: a stolen password is then no longer enough.
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
