Data breach — Moderate

La Compagnie des Sens, a French company selling natural products and essential oils, told its customers on 22 October 2026 that an unauthorised third party had accessed accounts on its online shop in early October. The data viewed includes customers' identity, their contact details (the source does not specify which) and their order history. According to the company, passwords were not accessible in clear text and no bank data is stored on the site, as payments go through an external provider. All account passwords were reset and the incident was reported to the CNIL. The number of people affected, the origin of the intrusion and any further distribution of the data are not known.

Combining identity, contact details and real order history allows a malicious party to send personalised fraudulent emails that refer to genuine purchases.
