InYourGeek uses no cookies: no analytics, no advertising, no social network, no session cookies. No third-party service is loaded by the pages, so no third party can set any without our knowledge.

That is why no consent dialog is shown: the law requires consent before any non-essential access to your device — here, there is none.

What is stored on your device

Three preferences, and only if you express them, in your browser's localStorage:

• iyg-theme: the theme chosen with the button at the top of the page (dark or light);
• iyg-alerte-masquee: the security alert you closed, so it is not shown again;
• iyg-lettre: the Monday letter banner closed (fermee) or your sign-up done (inscrit), so it is not shown again.

This never leaves your device: it is sent to no server, enables no tracking, and is not accessible to us. It reflects choices you explicitly made — a theme, a closed alert or banner — and therefore falls under the consent exemptions.

The letter and the donation button

The Monday letter sign-up form sets no cookie: its anti-bot protection is a computation done by your browser, with no captcha and no third party. Letters received by email are handled by our mailing provider: see the privacy policy.

The "Buy me a coffee" button is a plain link to Buy Me a Coffee. Nothing is loaded before you click; once on its site, it sets its own cookies, under its own responsibility and policy.

What if that changed?

Should an analytics tool be added one day, it would be cookieless and anonymous, and this page would be updated before it went live. Should anything requiring your consent be introduced, a banner would appear — with refusing as easy as accepting.
