Fédération française de basketball (FFBB)
ModerateReportedNonprofits
On August 6, 2026, a user going by the alias "weykofa" offered for sale on a cybercriminal forum a dataset presented as extracted from the French Basketball Federation's systems, concerning 75,831 people and several thousand clubs. The published sample links names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses and club or sports-organization affiliation, with the full set said to also include around 2,030 CVs. The listing, priced at 700 dollars in bitcoin, is separate from the April 2026 breach affecting roughly 2 million federation members, which the FFBB had confirmed and whose alleged perpetrator was arrested. The federation has not publicly confirmed this new claim.
Linking an identity to a phone number, postal address and club affiliation can facilitate targeted phishing or identity-theft attempts.
