Footsider
ModerateConfirmedEmployment and HR
On September 6, 2026, an individual posted on a cybercriminal forum a database claimed to have been extracted on September 5, 2026 from Footsider, a French app connecting football players, clubs and recruiters. The claimed archive, about 2.89 GB across 84 files, would cover 153,667 accounts and include names, usernames, emails, phone numbers, dates of birth, location data, sports profiles and club information, as well as tens of thousands of private conversations between players, clubs and recruiters. A date-of-birth field present in the published sample leaves open the question of minor accounts, though their number is not established.
The combination of personal contact details and private conversations between players, clubs and recruiters could facilitate targeted scams or identity theft against those affected, potentially including minors.

What you can do
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
