Jinko

CriticalConfirmedHealthcare

Jinko, a French platform supporting cancer patients, confirmed unauthorized access to its systems resulting in data exfiltration. A 3.7 GB archive, claimed by an attacker on a forum on 7 September 2026, contains patients' personal data (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, dates of birth) along with detailed medical data (cancer type, stage, treatments, medical history) and information on healthcare professionals. Jinko says it has secured its systems, notified affected individuals, and plans to file a complaint.

The combined exposure of patients' identity and medical history lets a third party reconstruct a detailed health profile and target affected individuals with fraudulent messages exploiting this sensitive information.

Exposed data

  • Email address
  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Postal address
  • Date of birth
  • Health data
  • Employment data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • Health data is “special category” data under the GDPR: a leak opens a right to compensation, and the organisation must notify the DPA within 72 hours.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
