Aile Francophone de Tennis de Table

CriticalReportedNonprofits

On 2026-09-15, an attacker using the alias "Venus1337" posted a claim on a cybercrime forum targeting AFTT (French-speaking wing of Belgian table tennis) and FRBTT (Royal Belgian Table Tennis Federation), stating they exploited a file-upload vulnerability to reach the databases. They claim roughly 1.69 GB of data covering 66,852 members, 17,441 user accounts and 87 club administrator accounts, the latter allegedly with plaintext passwords. Neither federation nor any authority has confirmed these figures so far.

If confirmed, the plaintext club-administrator passwords would let a third party directly take over the federations' management tools.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Customer ID
  • Password (plaintext)
  • Other personal data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Change that password — and everywhere you reused it. That is how a leak spreads to your other accounts.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication on the affected accounts: a stolen password is then no longer enough.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
