CrowdSec
ModerateReportedDigital services
On September 16, 2026, an actor claimed on a cybercrime forum to have published an archive presented as CrowdSec's non-public source code, over 300 repositories totaling roughly 3.4 GB, obtained through an exposed API key. The claim states the archive includes the names and email addresses of code contributors alongside technical configuration files. CrowdSec, a French cybersecurity vendor, has not publicly confirmed the incident.
Exposed contributor names and emails would let a third party craft targeted, credible phishing messages impersonating CrowdSec.

What you can do
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
