Fédération Française de Spéléologie
CriticalReportedNonprofits
An individual using the alias RedStone claims to have compromised the French Speleology Federation's systems through an unauthenticated SQL injection that allegedly enabled remote code execution, and claims to be selling data on 93,493 current and former members accumulated over nearly 60 years. The claimed data includes names, postal addresses, emails, phone numbers, dates of birth, membership license numbers, and, for 371 accounts, bank details. This claim has not yet been confirmed by the federation or by any independent source; anyone who has ever held an FFS license, even years ago, may be affected.
If the claimed bank details are genuine, they could facilitate fraudulent direct-debit attempts; the contact data more broadly exposes members to targeted phishing campaigns framed around their sports license.

What you can do
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- Watch your statements. On any unknown debit, block the card and request a refund — French law (art. L133-18) entitles you to it.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
