Uniformation

CriticalReportedEducation

On September 22, 2026, an actor claimed to have accessed a database attributed to Uniformation, the French skills operator for the Social Cohesion sector, by exploiting a flaw in an API reachable from a regular user account. The claimed data includes names, first names, dates of birth, and French national identification (Social Security) numbers tied to professional training records. Reported volumes vary between roughly 990 and 1,200 individuals depending on the outlet. Uniformation has not publicly confirmed the incident.

The combination of a name, date of birth and Social Security number would let a third party attempt identity theft or more credible targeted phishing.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Social security number

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • These documents enable identity theft, and cannot be reissued at will. Keep the notification letter: it proves where the leak came from if an account is opened in your name.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
