Cigusto

ModerateReportedRetail

A cybercriminal claimed on September 26, 2026, on a specialized forum, to hold a database of around 150,000 customers of Cigusto, a French e-cigarette and vaping retailer. A sample of 1,000 accounts was published, containing internal customer IDs, email addresses, first and last names, and loyalty-program information (cashback amount, status). Cigusto had previously notified the CNIL of a separate cyberattack on August 16, 2025, with no banking data or passwords compromised, but no source links that notified incident to the September 2026 claim, whose data appears more recent. At this stage, neither the access vector nor confirmation by the company has been established.

The combination of identity, email address, and loyalty-program information could facilitate targeted fraud attempts impersonating Cigusto or a service linked to the customer account.
