Fédération française de la randonnée pédestre (FFRandonnée)
CriticalConfirmedNonprofits
An individual using the alias RedStone claimed, on 29 September 2026 on a cybercrime forum, to be selling a database from the French hiking federation (FFRandonnée) containing about 1.43 million member records, with data going back to the 1990s. The claim covers more than one million unique email addresses and about 663,000 phone numbers, along with names, dates of birth, postal addresses and license or club information. Around 98,000 records are said to include medical information, medical fitness certificates (CACI) or emergency contacts, though the exact nature of this data cannot be verified from the published elements alone.
Combining full contact details (email, phone, postal address) with an identity — and, for some records, medical information or emergency contacts — exposes affected individuals to targeted phishing or impersonation attempts.

What you can do
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- Health data is “special category” data under the GDPR: a leak opens a right to compensation, and the organisation must notify the DPA within 72 hours.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
