ANSSI (laboratoire d'innovation)
ModerateConfirmedPublic sector
The innovation lab of France's national cybersecurity agency (ANSSI) was compromised through the exploitation of a vulnerability in the Metabase data visualization tool, according to the REACTIV status report published by ANSSI in late September 2026. 118 user accounts were affected, including about thirty belonging to external users. The exposed data includes usernames, email addresses, hashed passwords, and usage statistics. ANSSI updated the vulnerable Metabase instances, reset all passwords, and disabled accounts inactive for more than three months.
If cracked, the exposed credentials and hashed passwords could let a third party log into affected accounts or attempt credential reuse on other services using the same login.

Exposed data
- Customer ID
- Email address
- Password (hashed)
- Other personal data
You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.
What you can do
- Change that password — and everywhere you reused it. That is how a leak spreads to your other accounts.
- Turn on two-factor authentication on the affected accounts: a stolen password is then no longer enough.
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
