École nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort (EnvA)

ModerateReportedEducation

An attacker claims to have exploited a vulnerability in ThèseVet, the thesis platform of the École nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort (EnvA) veterinary school, gaining access to administrator accounts, email addresses, authentication information and still-active sessions. The claim, published on September 30, 2026 on a specialized forum and relayed by several monitoring sites, is backed by screenshots said to show access to an internal technical interface with high-privilege roles. The number of accounts affected and how long the flaw was exploitable are unknown, and the institution had not issued any public statement on the incident at the time of writing.

Credentials and active sessions for administrator accounts could allow a third party to log into the platform and view the data it holds.

Exposed data

  • Email address
  • Password (hashed)
  • Connection data (IP, logs)
  • Employment data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Change that password — and everywhere you reused it. That is how a leak spreads to your other accounts.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication on the affected accounts: a stolen password is then no longer enough.
  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
