The French national frequency agency (ANFR) detected a security incident on its Radiomaritime online service on 13 April 2026. The unauthorised access reportedly took place between 4 and 10 April 2026, and the agency then referred to about 330,000 users affected. A second, smaller incident was detected on 12 May 2026. On 5 October 2026, a file of 406,053 records attributed to ANFR appeared on a cybercriminal forum; it is not established that this figure corresponds to as many distinct individuals.
These complete contact details allow a malicious third party to craft credible fraudulent calls, texts or emails impersonating ANFR or another public body.

What you can do
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
