Al Bayyinah
ModerateReportedRetail
The online shop Al Bayyinah (albayyinah.fr), which sells books and products related to Muslim culture among other things, announced that an unauthorized third party had access to its website and database until 1 October 2026. The data that may have been accessed includes first and last names, email and postal addresses, phone numbers where provided, order history, newsletter subscription status, customer account information and hashed passwords. The company states that some older accounts used a password protection format now considered insufficient. It did not specify when the intrusion began or how many accounts are affected.
This information allows a malicious third party to craft credible phishing attempts citing a customer's identity, contact details or orders, and to try to recover passwords protected by the older format.

Exposed data
- Full name

- Postal address
- Phone number
- Order history
- Customer ID
- Password (hashed)
You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.
What you can do
- Change that password — and everywhere you reused it. That is how a leak spreads to your other accounts.
- Turn on two-factor authentication on the affected accounts: a stolen password is then no longer enough.
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
