Justice.fr (ministère de la Justice)

ModerateReportedPublic sector

On 8 October 2026, a forum user claimed to have released, free of charge, a CSV file of about 340 KB attributed to Justice.fr, the information portal of the French Ministry of Justice. By the poster's own account it holds 7,138 rows covering 7,135 people. The published samples contain surnames, first names and email addresses, both personal and professional. No passwords, court documents or banking data appear in them. The source does not establish where the file comes from: Justice.fr gives access to directories of legal professionals, so some of the information may already be public. No intrusion has been confirmed so far.

A list of names and email addresses can be used for targeted phishing or to impersonate legal professionals.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Employment data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
