WeFix
ModerateReportedRetail
On 13 October 2026, a forum user claimed to have released for free a database of 6,009 records attributed to WeFix, a French smartphone repair and refurbishment chain. The published samples, taken from two files covering insurance cases and partner operations, show names, phone numbers, email addresses, IMEI numbers, device brands and models, case and shipping references, repair amounts and handling statuses. Some samples mention a telecom operator partner, which does not show that its own systems were compromised. At this stage the authenticity of the data has not been established and WeFix has not commented in the sources reviewed.
Linking a customer's identity to their device and repair case could be used to craft convincing phishing messages impersonating a repairer, an insurer or a carrier.

What you can do
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
