Offerz

ModerateConfirmedRetail

Unidentified third parties accessed a test environment of the Swiss online shop Offerz during the night of 7 October 2026. The access was detected on 9 October. The environment held a copy of real orders from January 2026, covering about 115,000 customers. It contained order numbers, names, postal addresses, email addresses, mobile phone numbers, IP addresses and the type of payment method used. Offerz cannot confirm the data was downloaded. It states that no passwords or bank details were present. It cannot rule out that some gift vouchers from orders more than six months old appear in the accessible data.

These contact details and order context allow a malicious party to craft credible phishing or fraud attempts by email and SMS.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Order history
  • Connection data (IP, logs)

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
