Plenitude On The Road
CriticalReportedEnergy
Plenitude On The Road, an electric vehicle charging service belonging to the Eni group, states that it detected unauthorised access to its customer database on 19 and 20 October 2026, attributed to unidentified third parties. The data involved are names, tax identification numbers, postal addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and charging history (energy used, dates, times, costs). For some business accounts, employer names, company names and VAT numbers are also affected. The company states that no login credentials, passwords or payment details were involved; the number of people affected has not been disclosed.
The combination of identity, contact details and charging history allows a third party to craft convincing fraudulent messages impersonating the company.

What you can do
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- These documents enable identity theft, and cannot be reissued at will. Keep the notification letter: it proves where the leak came from if an account is opened in your name.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
